Don Bosco (1815–1888) was a priest, educator and the founder of the Salesians. He devoted his life to the formation and guidance of young people, especially the poor and those at risk. He built his method of education on faith, charity and reason, and founded schools, workshops and youth homes to give children and young people a future. Through his deep spirituality, his dedication to the young and his closeness to those in need, Don Bosco remains to this day a model of Christian education and social responsibility.
